Dear Readers, Welcome to the latest issue of Confluence South Asian Perspectives – the second of 2024. We depend on modern technology for our communication and other essential activities. Even though these technologies make our lives more comfortable in many ways, they bring some problems, too. Being a small publication, Confluence is more vulnerable to these problems. The recent attack on our website has forced us to take it down. As they say, ‘every crisis yields an opportunity,’ so we have relaunched our website, www.confluence.org.uk, with enhanced security. We have taken this opportunity to make sure our site is now more interactive by introducing new features. Our readers can soon search for past issues or the author’s name, etc. More importantly, we are introducing a dedicated section for our regular writers so that they can showcase their work to a broader audience and share their work with their readers and associates more easily. This new feature will soon become more popular with our readers and writers in many ways. We will discuss this with our writers in more detail in the coming days. The current issue features exciting contributions from well-known writers and special interviews with some authors, making it colourful. I am very grateful to the writers who have helped us bring out this issue through their valuable contributions. Once again, I want to remind all our contributors to send their submissions one month before the publication due date. Please email your work/s to confluenceuk@yahoo.com only. I look forward to meeting you all in the next issue. Vijay Anand |
